AUGUST 2018 FLYING STAR & ELEMENTAL FORECAST
AUGUST 2018 is a Yang Metal on Metal Monkey month and begins on the 7th @ 9:32 pm.
If you followed last month’s forecast of July which was a very strong earth month and supported the strong energy of the Yang Earth Dog year, I mentioned that the earth energy would be very strong and we will all feel it on a global level, which we experienced with 2 earthquakes in Lombok Indonesia, the drought in Australia affecting our farmers, but also in Texas, and most European countries.
We also had Landslides in Mathura – India, Hanoi – Vietnam, and recently in Malta, as mother nature was really testing us on a global level.
I also mentioned “As the Earth Goat is the end of Fire season and on a global level we will witness underground explosions and eruptions”. This was evident with more volcanic eruptions in Hawaii and Guatemala, fires in Greece, California and Germany, and heat wave warnings in Japan, Canada, UK, Spain and Portugal.
The strong Metal month of August will weaken some of this earth energy of the year. Weakling Cycle of the 5 Elements; Metal weakens the Earth.
The Metal Monkey is also were the water element is birthed (Monkey, Rat, Dragon = Water), therefore, on a global level mother nature will start raining on us, I just hope she will be kind and not pour on our world and cause flooding and landslides.

The Monkey can be cunning and wily. They are intelligent and intellectual, versatile and quick thinkers. Monkeys are sociable and make friends easily, which make them kind as people are attracted to their intelligence and talents. They are also very inventive, creative and always ready to solve new problems.
Health wise Yang Metal represents the large intestine, colon and navel and the Metal Monkey is the lungs. Therefore, extra care should be placed on these areas of your body.

August is a late winter month in the Southern Hemisphere and according to the chart this month, it’s a strong Yang Metal Monkey month. Yang Metal represents the colon, large intestine and the navel. From Chinese Medicine (CM) perspectives, this month people would easier to have some bowel problems, e.g. constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain etc… That’s because people would eat more “hot” and heavy food in winter time to keep the body warm. “Hot” food not only refer to the temperature, but also the nature. Spicy, deep fried, oven cook food, alcohol, coffee etc. all belong to hot food. Large intestine prefers moist and hates hot/dryness. Overconsumption of hot food would easily damage the body fluid and cause some dry symptoms: thirsty, dry stool, constipation etc… To protect our colon/ large intestine, we need to eat more nourishing food e.g. soup, rice congee etc…
The Metal Monkey represents the lungs. “Lung” refers to the whole respiratory system including the nose in CM and it likes moist & hates dryness. During this month, people would easily get some respiratory problems e.g. cough, asthma, sinus and hay fever. To prevent these problems, we need to open windows to exchange air for the house in sunny days; keep the moist of the house when heater is on by leaving a basin of water/ mist diffuser in the room; outdoor exercise when the sun is out and try to expose your skin under the sun without sun screen to get some Vitamin D (naturally built up immune system). Also eat pears and a bit ginger can help you to promote the immune system, get rid of the wind cold and clear phlegm & moist lung at the same time.

WATER– a great time to start a new course or learn something new, ……. if metal is unfavourable, the focus is your health, so take extra care and keep on top of it- watch your digestive health as well.
