AUGUST 2022, FENG SHUI FLYING STARS & CHINESE ASTROLOGY FORECAST
August is Yang Earth on a Metal Monkey, and it begins on the 7th @ 8:30 pm and ends on September 7th @ 11:34 pm.
Having reached mid-year in the Solar calendar, along comes the very critical Monkey month to shake up and disturb the energy of the Tiger year even further as both these animals in Chinese Astrology are foes.
The month begins with Yang Water on a Dragon day, in the month of Yang Earth on a Monkey in the Year of Yang Water on a Tiger in the Hour of Yang Metal on a Dog. The energy for the month is all Yang. Yang is action and the animals in the Earthly Branches the month begins are all in clash with one another (Tiger clashes with Monkey, and Dragon clashes with the dog). When we see this in someone’s chart, they can be prone to have accidents, misfortune, or illness, as their sit foundations are unstable in their Four Pillars chart.
The Dragon is where Water is stored and the Monkey is where the Water element is birthed, therefore this month can bring about a lot of water disasters. Water is the element that bring up the emotion of fear, it is also related to the kidneys and immune system, therefore, this month’s focus can be on illnesses affecting the immune system (flu, colds, covid), therefore it is best to build up the immune system and taking in some Vitamin D (sunlight) & C (citrus fruits) to support your health. Other health issues that may arise can affect the lungs, skin, and nose, as they are related to the Metal element.
Globally we can experience floods, tsunamis and water damage as the water elements are quite strong this month.
The Fire element is missing this month; therefore, we can anticipate Fire disasters (explosions, bush fires, war, and bombings). Fire is also related to the heart, eyes, fevers, and blood circulation, so we may hear more health issues arising affecting these organs. The Monkey, and Tiger form half a Fire Penalty (Tiger, Monkey, Snake), which can also cause fire related destructions, so take extra care if you have any of these animals or all of these animals in your chart this month. Take extra care on Snake days 8/8, 20/8, 1/9.
If fire is a favourable element, then the affects are not as serious (you will need to have had your Chinese Astrology chart or Bazi to know this). If you don’t know the elements in your chart, it’s probably time to book an appointment.
The Monkey is also a Travel Star, therefore, expect travel delays, flight cancellations, road accidents. My advice here is to be patient on the roads and allow yourself plenty of time if you’re planning on travelling interstate or overseas.
The Dragon (day) and the Dog (hour) are also a clash which can bring about earth related disasters, like earthquakes, avalanches, and sink holes.
The Monkey belongs to the Metal element, and is related to Autumn season, especially in the Northern Hemisphere as they enter into their Fall Season. Metal is a form of elimination and letting go. So, if you are going through a challenging time don’t be afraid of releasing what does not serve you. You are allowed to let go of toxic relationships, friendships, jobs, change schools, move house, or make life altering changes, as it will allow you to grow and create new beginnings, new friendship, new relationships, or a better job.
For those that have a Tiger somewhere in their Chinese Astrology or Bazi chart, this month will bring about changes in your life, if you haven’t made some life changes to date this year. My motto is “create the change, don’t let the change create you”.
A clash is not always a bad thing, as it can take you out of your comfort zone and shake up your life for better things to come, especially if you have been stuck in a relationship that has run its course and you have been too afraid to make the change. Embrace the change, though it’s not easy at first, it does get better once you’ve made the adjustments.
The month seems like it’s all doom and gloom, but if Water, Metal, and Fire are your favourable elements then anticipate a prosperous month.
On a global scale we can see the stock market taking a further fall, food shortages, unusual weather patterns, conflict between counties (war), and more health issues arising.
The Flying Stars for the month multiply those of the year, therefore, every sector of your home or business will have double the energies. The best directions to hang out in are the North, Northeast, and the South. The areas to keep calm and avoid renovations or disturbing of the land are the Centre, Southwest, West, and the East.
Find time to meditate, go for a walk, do some yoga, tai chi or qi gong, or deep breathing to calm the nervous system, and remember that there is only 31 days in the month then the Rooster month begins on the 7th of September 2022.

Travel Star indicates a lot of activity, travelling, car travel, etc.
If you are born in the Year or Day of a Tiger, Horse & Dog, the Monkey is your Travel Star.
Tiger Years include 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022.
Horse Years include 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014.

Clash Animal
If you have a Tiger in your Chinese Astrology chart, it can fall in the:
– Day you are born,
-Month (February 3/ 4 to 4/5 March)
– Hour (between 3am- 5am) and,
– Years (1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022).
It is recommended that you take extra care this month and carry the charm of a Snake as it is friends with the Monkey in Chinese Astrology.
Penalty Animal
A Fire Penalty can instigate accidents, extreme anxiety, heart and eye health, blood circulation, fever, travel accidents and delay, and diabetes.

Health blog for the Month of August 2022
August is Yang Earth on a Metal Monkey. Yang Earth is the Stomach and chest, and Metal Monkey is our Colon and lungs. The Monkey also forms a half Fire Penalty with the Tiger, creating issues with our heart, fever, eyes etc.
In Chinese Medicine, the Earth organs are the mother of our Metal organs, which means the health of Lung and Colon (Metal) largely relies on the health of the digestive organs our Spleen & Stomach (Earth). Western Medicine also agrees with the association between digestive and respiratory organs which has been proven through research. As we are experiencing a high risk of Covid and Flu season, we need to pay more attention to improve our defence energy, by looking after both of our lungs and our digestive system.
Below are some health tips which could help us to improve both our lung and gut health:
- As our digestive system loves warmth, especially during winter, always drink warm and et foods in season during winter. It is best to eat more nourishing soups and stews, avoiding salads and too much raw fruits.
- Regular outdoor exercise and exposure to sunlight is essential to improve the Lung health. Also ventilating the house especially our bedrooms every day and remove any mould in the bathroom.
- Regular bowel movement and getting enough good quality sleep are some key points to good immunity too.
