NOVEMBER 2020 FENG SHUI FLYING STARS & CHINESE ASTROLOGY FORECAST
NOVEMBER 2020 is YIN Fire on Water Pig month and begins on the 7th at 12:11 am
Yin Fire is like a candle, it represents Joy and is charismatic, easy to befriend and are generous.
The Water Pig is intelligent, straight forward, honest, patient, warm hearted, and good-mannered.
We are entering another month where the elements are opposed of one another, therefore, more unrest on a global scale.
We are also entering Winter Season in the cycle of elements, where the water months of November, December, and January are part of the Water Season. Therefore, the Northern Hemisphere enters wintertime, a time of hibernation and reflection.
In the Southern Hemisphere of the world, we come into the Summer weather which in hindsight is the Fire Element, a time of joy and freedom, hence the Yin Fire on a Water Pig is very much a Yin and Yang concept this month.
This can also indicate the Southern Hemisphere countries and states (Melbourne, Australia, New Zealand, etc) are coming out of lockdown restrictions (Yang), and in the Northern Hemisphere countries (England, France, Spain, Italy, Etc) are going back into lockdown restrictions (Yin) .
You must appreciate the duality between Yin and Yang as one cannot exist without the other.
Where the Fire element represent Joy and the heart, the Water element represents fear and the kidneys. Therefore, this month emotions can run high as people will experience the emotions of fear of going back into lockdown and people coming out of lockdown feeling anxious of the uncertainty , especially with the focus being the Covid-19 virus this year.
The emotion of Anger will also appear as the Month begins Yang Wood on a Wood Tiger day. The wood is strong this month as it is birthed in the water season. (The emotion for the Wood element is Anger or Constructiveness.)
I always the energy of the day the month begins together with the hour, month, and year can indicate what type of month we can anticipate.
If we use our emotions to bring out the positive aspects in life, then the month can be productive through the Generation Cycle of the elements (see below).
- Anger can be transformed into Joy
- Constructiveness can turn Sadness into Joy
- Constructiveness will alleviate Fear
- Reassurance can turn Anger into Constructiveness
Therefore, be constructive, don’t let the fear stop you from moving forward and have the courage to be productive. Not only can we practise this ourselves, but we can also use it to ease the emotional instability of others too. Be constructive by teaching this to our younger children and teenagers as it gives them the tools to be emotionally independent and mature, which is what a lot of the youth are lacking today.
To calm the nervous system and emotions, the best exercise are yoga, Qigong , meditation, outdoor exercise, and because the Earth Element is missing this month grounding activities like, gardening and walking bare foot and connecting to mother earth are also great to balance emotions.
For those living in America these emotions will also felt on the presidency of American and the inconsistency of the voting tallying. In Bazi we say the person in Luck has a better chance of winning. May the best person win.

Health blog from TCM aspects for the month of November
November is the month of Yin Fire on Water Pig. Yin Fire represents the heart while the Water Pig is the head and brain. The water and fire elements are in a clash this month.
In Chinese Medicine, the Heart is the Fire element and is in charge of processing thoughts and emotions, and the Kidney is the water element and is in charge of bone marrows and the brain. Water controls the heart fire while fire warms up water – this is what we call the “heart and kidney harmony”. If the kidney energy is weakened, the water can’t control the heart fire effectively, causing heart palpitations, anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, etc. Additionally, patients would have symptoms that reflect kidney deficiency like lower back pain, irregular periods, hot flushes, fearfulness, etc.
To keep the harmony of the heart and kidney in order, we need to both strengthen the kidney (water element) and reduce the heart fire. Lifestyle habits like a good night’s rest and regular moderate exercise are essential. Meditation and yoga are also highly recommended to ground the spirit. Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments such as acupuncture and herbal medicine work very well in calming the heart and strengthening kidney energy, so feel free to consult your practitioner if you have further inquiries.
