October 8th, 2021, brings in the energy of Yang Earth on an Earth Dog.
The Earth energy in this second half of the year is quite strong, representing, earthquakes, landslides, sinkholes, roads, mountains, digestion, the stomach and spleen, cells, worry, stress, pharmaceutical, medicine, and the virus as a virus is carried in the cells.
Yang Earth on a Dog is also known as Fai Kong. This is a person that is not afraid of challenges and difficulties, is very courageous, have no regrets and are strong willed. In difficult times though they are very inflexible, argumentative, impatient, insincere, and can put themselves in dangerous situations without looking into the consequences.
Yang Earth is like a big mountain, it is still, stubborn, unmovable, firm, rigid, quiet, but also caring and compassionate. This earth does not like to move, you have to go to the mountain and chip at it if you wish to conquer it, unless it’s disturbed by an earthquake and then watch out as the boulders will start rolling down that mountain.
The Earth Dog is loyal, protective, faithful, temperamental, dogmatic, and sensitive.
Earth Dog – is known as the ‘Gate Way to Hell’ or the underworld in Chinese Astrology. He is like Anubis, one of the principal Egyptian Gods of the dead who guided the soul to judgment in the afterlife. This month people will be judged, and these people are that of Fai Kong qualities like people in charge, governments, law, military, and people in power.
The Dog month brings about a half Earth Penalty. As this year is an Ox year therefore, people who have a Goat somewhere in their Chinese Astrology chart, this month brings in an Earth Penalty (Ox, Goat, Dog) which relates to hardship, ill health, misfortune, losses, and great challenges especially if earth is an unfavourable element. Take extra care this month and avoid potential hazards. If earth is a favourable element then its not serious.

As earth is related to medicine, pharmaceuticals, and the virus, this month can bring out new research or an alternative drug, or tablet to fight of this virus that has rocked our lives and world in the last 18 months.
The Ox in the year and the Dog month can also bring about earth movement, like earthquakes, landslides, or avalanches. Think of these two earth elements rubbing up to each other causing friction, like the earth’s plates. Melbourne recently experienced an earthquake that reached 5.9 magnitude which hit the Southeast of Victoria and was felt as far wide as the SE region of Australia.
The Flying Stars for the month double that of the yearly stars, therefore we will see double the energies of good and bad in certain sectors. The ones to look out for the most is the Southeast, North and Southwest.
The Southeast of the world is Australia, New Zealand, and their surrounding islands. This can also be the Southeast of a country as well like; Cyprus, Turkey, Croatia which are situated SE of Europe Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore are SE of Asia and Melbourne is SE of Australia.
The Star 6 in the centre represents the Heavenly Trigram also known as the Father Trigram. It is also Metal element representing law, government, military, and CEO’s. As the energy doubles up this month we can see there may be either tougher law enforcements implemented OR there will the current laws of enforcement being challenged by others in high positions. We will just have to wait and see….

October is Yang Earth on an Earth Dog.
Yang Earth is the Chest and Stomach while Earth Dog is the Legs and Feet. Since this year is also the Earth year, we will have too much “Earth” energy during this month.
In Chinese Medicine, the Earth organs refer to the Spleen and Stomach – they are in charge of our digestive system and also play an important role in our immunity. The Earth has close relationship with the Wood/Liver and is easily affected by Liver stress.
With lockdown is still in place and the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, many people are under stress which can negatively impact their digestive systems. Lack of regular exercise and over-eating can also weaken the Spleen and Stomach, further causing digestive issues and weight gain.
In order to keep your health this month, it’s essential to monitor your diet as well as increasing the frequency of weekly exercise. A healthy diet should be made up of a small amount of carbohydrates and dairy and mostly good protein and vegetables.
Regular bowel movements are also very important to the gut health. If you are suffering from constipation or sluggish bowel movements, try to do some clockwise massage on the abdomen area. Mandarin/lemon peel tea, lemon grass tea, Oolong tea, to name a few, are good for digestion as well.
