April is Yang Wood on an Earth Dragon, and it begins on the 5th @3:22 am and ends on May 5th @ 8:27 pm.
Welcome to April, the month of the Yang Wood Dragon. It’s a month where the energy is very similar to the day the year of the Water Tiger beings. The quality of the month is all Yang.
The day the month begins is Yang Earth on a Water Rat, the month is Yang Wood on a Earth Dragon, the Year is Yang Water on a Wood Tiger and the Hour is Yang Wood on a Wood Tiger. The pillars of April almost duplicate that of the pillars of 4th February 2022, @ 4:52am.
So, what does this mean? If you go back to how you felt in February, well, this month will feel the same.
So, put on your roller skates and guide the month at a speed you can tolerate, as the month is all Yang (fast).
The month is Yang Wood- this wood is like an oak tree, sturdy, tough, principled, creative, and visionary.
The Earth Dragon is egotistic, natural born leaders, energetic, and warm-hearted
I mentioned in my yearly predictions;
“In Chinese Astrology or BaZi the day you are born gives us an indication of what qualities you are born with; in that same manner I will be using the year the day begins to explain my interpretation for the year ahead.”
In this same manner I will be using the Four Pillars of the day April month begins.
The day the month begins is Yang Earth, this is the Day Master, therefore you can say this is the person in charge, like governments and leaders.
This Yang Earth Day Master is sitting on a Water Rat which is the money element to the Earth Day master. The month is Yang Wood on a Dragon, the Dragon and the Rat forms half a Water combination (monkey, rat, dragon) for this Earth Day Master, therefore, it can be said that the government, leaders, or people in powerful positions are making wealth or have to expose their wealth, as the Yang Wood in the month and hour represents Extreme Power (legal, law, authorities) being placed on the Day Master.
We can also say that governments and leaders may be financially challenged economically, causing inflation. The war between Russia and Ukraine has already placed financial difficulties concerning the prices of fuel and exports.
The Earth Dragon in the month is a hidden competitor to the Yang Earth Day Master the day the month begins as they are the same element, therefore, there can be tensions and power play issues with other countries, like Australia and China trade war, and tension between China and Taiwan.
As the Tiger year is a Travel Star or Travelling Horse, this month the Dragon triggers the Tiger, as the Tiger is the Traveling Star for those born on the Day or Year of the Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. Therefore, this month we will see a lot of people travelling, and this can be by sea or air. Travel can also be immigration and refugees as I mentioned in the yearly forecast, but this month as the energy doubles that of the yearly energy, this can indicate double the migration and travel, especially from war torn countries. As much as we have missed travelling in the last couple of years, I recommend traveling with caution this month as there can be accidents and delays.
The month is a Dragon and the day the month begins is a Rat, this combination brings about a large mass of water especially on a monkey day or hour (3-5pm) which can bring about heavy rains, floods, tsunamis, and cyclones, and landslides. This is especially evident in the north and northwest of a state or country, as the Star 5 (brings about misfortune) resides in the North this month and the Star 1 in the Northwest which combines with that of the yearly Star 6 in the Northwest creating a Ho Tu 6-1 water combination. (see Flying Star chart below).
The central Star this month is the Star 9 (fire) which strengthens the Star 5 (earth) of the year, indicating earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
The strong wood in the day the month begins is liken to 4 big oak trees, stubborn, inflexible, innovative, and tough. The wood element is related to the liver and in Chinese medicine, the liver is where anger, frustration, resentment, and depression is stored. The expression of wood is ‘shouting’. We may experience and come across a lot of angry people this month, or you may be feeling very angry this month. My advice is to turn this anger into something constructive and productive to exert this energy and turn it into something positive. Always remember to be kind to those that are going through challenging times.

Health blog from a TCM aspect for the Month of April 2022
April is Yang Wood on Earth Dragon. Yang Wood is the gall bladder and head (especially the side of head) and the Earth Dragon is the skin and the chest as well as the digestion.
In Chinese Medicine the Gallbladder in charge the storage & free flow of bile and its channel runs along the side of the head and the body. If the Gallbladder is under stress, the bile wouldn’t flow in its order. If the bile come up to the mouth, people would experience bitter taste in the mouth; if the bile come up to the skin, people would present jaundice in the skin/eyes. If the Gallbladder channel is blocked people would experience pain along the channel, e.g.: migraine, temple headache, tightness in the jaw or rib/sciatica pain. Also, Wood controls the earth, if the wood element is too strong it would destroy the earth causing some digestive issues.
Lately in the clinic we noticed more Gallbladder related issues as mentioned above as well as some digestive problems. In order to keep well this month, please manage the stress level to make sure the Wood system is in a happy status. Regular exercise could increase the happy hormone, also sleeping before 11pm could help the wood system detox properly during the night. Lemon and mint tea is good for the Liver & Gallbladder while lemon grass tea is good for digestive system.
