This month is Yin Wood on an Earth Ox and begins on 6th January at 4:51am until 4th February 4:29pm.

January 2024 is the last month of the Yin Water Rabbit Year and the last month of Period 8 (2004-2024). Then we welcome the Chinese Year of the Wood Dragon on the 4th of February 2024 and Period 9 (2024-2044).

Energetically, the last month will bring in a few intense changes. Similar to the last push when a woman is giving birth and the baby is just about to be pushed through. You hear that sweet cry of a child coming into the world and life as you knew it changes completely. If you are a parent or you have had a natural birth or have witnessed a birth you know exactly what I mean.

We are also going into the last 20-year cycle (Period 9 – 2024-2044 – Fire Element) of the Flying Star 180-year timeline representing the Middle Aged woman. The last time we experienced this energy was when Queen Victoria of England and Empress Dowager Cixi of China were ruling. We are already seeing this new wave of middle-aged female energy with this week’s announcement that Australia’s Princess Mary will become the new Queen of Denmark on January 14 after the shock abdication of the Danish throne by Queen Margrethe II. I spoke about this new energy in my Period 9 (2024-2044) Energy Shift webinar in October.

Yin Wood is like the wheat in the fields and the Earth Ox works hard in the field to prepare the soil for a successful crop. This is what the last month of Period 8 and the Water Rabbit year is ending with.

It is instigating that if we work hard to prepare the field for a successful crop then we will be nourished, fed and successful. But, if the field is not properly prepared, then we will not be nourished and have to depend on others to get us through challenging times.

The Earth Ox is also the last month of the winter season before the spring season arrives in the Northern Hemisphere. These new beginnings will start to push through the soil to blossom into something extraordinary. I am personally excited about what is to come and looking forward to what the next 20-year cycle has install.

Nobleman is described as ‘helpful people’. This month the Ox brings a Nobleman to people born

• Day of Yang Metal, Yang wood &Yang Earth.
• Years ending in a 0, 4 & 8.

 Clash Animal

  The Ox & Goat  are a Clash in Chinese Astrology. If you have a Horse in your chart then you are in Clash with the month, it can fall in the:

– Day you are born,

-Month (July 6/7 to 7/8 August)

– Hour (between 1pm- 3pm) and,

– Years (1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015).

It is recommended that you take extra care this month and carry the charm of a Rat as it is friends with the Ox in Chinese Astrology.

 If you have YIN METAL, in your Chinese Astrology Chart, you are in Clash with the YIN WOOD of the Month. It is more evident if you are born on the Day of Yin Metal.

Penalty Animal

An Earth Penalty can instigate extreme worry, hidden dangers, accidents, diseases, misfortune, sporting accidents especially those played on the earth, growths, and hidden cancer.

If you have an Dog & Goat in your Chinese Astrology Chart, then this month the Ox  brings about and Earth Penalty.

If Earth is an unfavourable element, then avoid extreme sports, and take extra on the roads.

Carry the Charm of the Rat to keep the Ox peaceful.

Flying Stars January 2024

North-representing ill- health & fertility- 6 coins are recommended as a cure for this direction. Take care of your health this month and build up your immune system with antioxidants.

In the North, which symbolizes ill-health and fertility, it is recommended to place 6 coins as a cure. Prioritize your health this month and bolster your immune system with antioxidants. Additionally, be cautious as the ill-health Star 2 for the month combines with the annual Star 9 (Fire) , potentially strengthening the Star 2 (earth) as fire supports the earth in the supporting cycle of the 5 elements.  Maintain a quiet environment in the North of your home this month especially if it’s your front door,  to mitigate challenging outcomes.

SOUTHEAST –represents difficulty, obstacles & destructive energy- 6 metal bells or a 6-metal piped wind chime is recommended to disperse negative energy. You can also place a saltwater cure for the month to weaken this challenging energy.

CENTRE-  the Star 6 (metal)  is visiting the centre this month , representing law, governments, military, CEO’s and the father trigram. With the annual Star 4 (wood) residing in the centre this year there may be news of affairs, scandal and sexual abuse within the government as the metal clashes with the wood in the 5 elements. Clashes will bring things to the surface to be revealed.

SOUTH- the Star 1 brings prosperity in the south as it teams up with the Star 8. As they are both White Stars there is potential for success facing the south this month.

On a global scale the countries that lie in the North, Southeast  & the Norhtwest of a country/state can anticipate unrest and/or natural disasters.

Take extra care if these energies fall into your bedroom, front door, or kitchen.

Health Tips for January 2023

Yin Wood is the neck & liver, and the Earth ox is the Belly and spleen. As wood controls the earth, the belly and spleen will be affected. Since January is within the festival season, people are indulging themselves with lots of foods and drinks, the digestive system would be suffering more presenting as indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhoea, weight gain etc..

To balance our health this month, we need to stick to the “80% rule”- which is only eat or drink 80% of your full capacity. It requires us to eat/ drink slowly to avoid overeating before we realise it. Also, regular exercise after big feasts is essential for digestion.
