As we move into the energy of the Yang Fire on an Earth Dog, officially beginning on October 8th, it brings a mix of warmth, loyalty, and strong moral grounding.
Yang Fire is like the sun—bright, warm, and full of enthusiasm. It shines light on what’s true and brings a positive, uplifting vibe.
The Earth Dog, on the other hand, is loyal, steady, and protective, often standing up for what’s right.
Together, these energies can inspire us to act with integrity, supporting our beliefs and values. On a larger scale, we may see people coming together for common causes or standing firm on social issues. Political leaders may also be tested this month as new systems and policies, like digital ID programs, are introduced and discussed. In the UK, for example, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer recently announced plans for all citizens and legal residents to have a digital ID to confirm their right to live and work in the country.
As the Fire energy connects to the Sun, it’s also interesting that space news is heating up, especially around Comet 3I/ATLAS, which recently passed near Mars. This comet is unique because it comes from outside our solar system—an interstellar visitor moving at incredible speed. It will be closest to the Sun in late October 2025, which NASA is closely studying to learn more.
At my Year of the Wood Snake talk, I mentioned this year would bring discoveries from beyond our solar system—well, here they come!
The month begins on a Yang Metal Dog day and in a Yang Metal Dragon hour, both carrying what’s known as Fai Kong energy, which is strong, determined, and resilient. This energy is said to “kick away ghosts,” symbolising courage, willpower, and the ability to handle challenges head-on. The Dog and Dragon together also heighten intuition, so if something doesn’t feel right—whether in the news, your environment, or your personal life, trust that first gut feeling. It’s a great time to slow down, tune in, and connect with your inner guidance through meditation, journaling, or prayer.
With both the Dog and Dragon belonging to the Earth element, and a clash. We may see more movement from Mother Earth, such as earthquakes, landslides, or sinkholes. As this clash weakens the Water element this month, there may also be flooding or mudslides in certain parts of the world.
In the Flying Stars chart, the #3 Star (Wood) moves into the Centre and meets the Yearly #2 Star (Earth)—a combination called “Bullfight Sha.” This energy can bring tension, gossip, or disagreements, even on a global scale, so it’s best to stay grounded, patient, and avoid unnecessary conflicts.
Overall, this month encourages us to be strong and resilient like Fai Kong, but also warm and joyful like the Fire element. Take time to enjoy simple pleasures, stay positive, and remember to be gentle with yourself and others.
Nobleman Month-
There is NO Nobleman this month as the Dragon & Dog are the only animals that don’t possess such auspicious qualities; therefore we need to rely on the day and hour to bring about your Nobleman.
Clash Animal-
The Dog & Dragon are a Clash in Chinese Astrology. If you have an Dragon in your chart then you are in Clash with the month, it can fall in the:
– Day you are born,
-Month (5/6 April to 5/6 May).
– Hour (between 7am- 9am) and,
– Years 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024 .
It is recommended that you take extra care this month and carry the charm of a Rooster as it is friends with the Dragon in Chinese Astrology.
If you have Yang Water in your Chinese Astrology Chart—especially as your Day Master—you’re clashing with this month’s Yang Fire energy. This can shake things up, but whether it’s a challenge or an opportunity depends on Yang Fire is useful and how it interacts with your chart.

Earth Penalty-
An Earth Penalty can instigate extreme worry, hidden dangers, accidents, diseases, misfortune, sporting accidents especially those played on the earth, growths, and hidden cancer.
If you have a Ox & Goat in your Chinese Astrology Chart, then this month the Dog brings about and Earth Penalty.
If Earth is an unfavourable element, then avoid extreme sports, and take extra on the roads.
Carry the Charm of the Rabbit to keep the Dog peaceful.
Combinations-
If you have a Rabbit in your chart—especially on your Day Pillar—this Dog Month could feel a little smoother for you.
Meanwhile, the Tiger, Horse & Dog form a Fire Element Trine—but what does Fire mean in your chart? Is it wealth, intelligence, resources, power, or self?
Yang Fire & Yin Metal are also at play, forming a connection that symbolizes unity, partnerships, and even potential relationships—but sometimes, they remain out of reach.

Flying Stars October 2025

Centre-This month, the Star #3 (Wood) brings a touch of tension to the Centre sector. When paired with the Yearly Star #2 (Earth), it forms what’s known as “Bullfight Sha”—an energy that can stir up arguments, gossip, and irritability. It’s best to stay calm and avoid unnecessary disagreements. On a global level, this energy can also relate to political unrest or scandals.
Tip: Nurture your digestive health this month with grounding foods and mindful eating.
North-The visiting Star #8 (Earth) may bring about some challenges involving young people, especially between siblings or young couples. Best to avoid conflicting issues and communications.
Northeast-With the Star #6 (Metal) arriving here, legal or administrative matters may surface, particularly as it interacts with the Yearly Star #5 (Earth). This combination can feel mentally heavy at times.
Tip: Keep your mind clear and body hydrated. Gentle practices like meditation or yoga will help you stay balanced and prevent tension headaches or mental fatigue.
East-Wonderful energy shines on the East this month as the Star #1 (Water) activates the Yearly Star #9 (Fire), bringing growth, academic success, and recognition. It’s a perfect area for students or anyone studying for exams to spend time in. Use this sector to support your goals and ambitions.
Southeast-The Illness Star #2 (Earth) visits this month, weakening the Yearly Star #1 (Water) and potentially affecting your ears, stomach, and immune system.
Remedy: Place a brass Wu Lou or six metal coins here to reduce this draining energy and protect your health. Listen to your body and rest when needed.
South-The Star #7 (Metal) joins the Yearly Star #6 (Metal), forming what’s called “Sword-Fighting Sha.” This can lead to misunderstandings, heated exchanges, or conflicts with authority figures. Think of it as two swords clashing—it’s best to stay calm and avoid confrontation.
Health focus: Watch for skin or lung sensitivities and make time for fresh air and relaxation.
Southwest-Good news for the Southwest! The Star #9 (Fire) brings success, recognition, and joyful opportunities. This is a wonderful area to activate for career advancement or new ventures. Let this bright energy inspire motivation and enthusiasm this month.
West-The Star #5 (Earth) brings some unstable energy to the West, so it’s wise to tread gently in this area. It can indicate financial challenges or minor setbacks, but nothing that calmness and care can’t manage.
Remedy: Place six metal wind chimes or bells here and avoid renovations or loud activity.
Health tip: Support your digestion and skin with nourishing foods and plenty of water.
Northwest-This month, the Star #4 (Wood)—linked to romance, charm, and creativity—combines with the Yearly Star #3 (Wood), which can stir up arguments or misunderstandings. It’s best to avoid gossip and be mindful of how words are shared.
Caution: Minor accidents with sharp objects or falls are possible.
On a global scale, countries or regions in the West, Centre , and Southeast may experience challenges this month. Extra caution is advised if these energies fall into key areas of your home, such as the bedroom, front door, or kitchen. Avoid disturbing the land through digging or renovations in these sectors this month, as it could lead to financial loss or misfortune.

Health Tips for October 2025
October brings a lovely mix of warmth and grounding. With Yang Fire strengthening Earth, we feel a boost of energy and stability, but if it tips too far, things can feel heavy or sluggish.
What to watch for:
This month, your heart, small intestine, legs, and feet may need a little extra attention. You might notice restlessness, tension, or digestive niggles if your energy gets out of balance.
Simple ways to stay in harmony:
-
Nourish your digestion: Warm, cooked meals like soups, stews, and roasted veggies help support your stomach and spleen. Try to ease up on cold or raw foods.
-
Calm your heart: Quiet moments, gentle breathing, or meditation help settle excess fire energy and keep you centred.
-
Move gently: Stretching, walking, yoga, or tai chi help circulation and keep Earth energy from feeling too heavy.
-
Stay comfortably warm: Keep your shoulders and abdomen cozy, but avoid overheating as the days start to warm up.
October is all about finding balance—enjoy the warmth, stay grounded, and take care of your body and energy.
