This May, we welcome the Yin Metal, Fire Snake month. Interestingly, we already have Snake energy present in the year, so with this month’s arrival, the Snake influence doubles — amplifying its impact. For those who haven’t fully shed old patterns or released past issues, this month provides a powerful opportunity and perhaps a little pressure, to finally let go and transform.
The Snake is known as a Travel Star, meaning we can expect a rise in movement in the form travel, restlessness, relocations, and gatherings. Mass protests, may become more active this month, looking like a “serpent” weaving through city streets. Let’s pray these gatherings remain peaceful.
With two Snakes present, the imagery mirrors the medicine symbol, suggesting that May may bring breakthroughs in healing, medicine, or technology aimed at enhancing longevity — fitting, as the Snake symbolizes immortality.
Snake energy also brings themes of rebirth, intuition, wisdom, spiritual awakening, and transformation, and we will be supported by these energies throughout the month. Secrets may come to light, particularly related to money matters as the Snake’s connection to the birth of Metal combination (Snake, Rooster, Ox), which represents finances, gold, silver, and the stock market.
We could also experience unexpected events linked to the Fire element, such as explosions, volcanic activity, droughts, stock market volatility, flight disruptions, power surgers or even earthquakes.

May is the Yin Metal on Fire Snake month. Yin Metal governs the lungs and buttocks, while the Fire Snake relates to the face, teeth, heart, and blood.
This combination brings tension: fire melts metal, meaning the fiery Snake energy may weaken lung function. You may notice more respiratory issues, dry coughs, asthma, skin sensitivity, or fatigue. It’s also a time to protect heart health and nourish the blood, as well as the eyes and neck.
