June is Yang Earth on Fire Horse. Yang Earth is the Stomach and Chest and Fire Horse is Eyes, spirit, & heart .The earth is strong this month as the fire feeds the earth.
In Chinese Medicine, the Fire element (Heart & Spirit) and Earth element (Spleen & Stomach) are closely related which means the emotion status would strongly impact on the digestive health. This has been proven by modern research about the relationship of “Brain and Gut”. If someone is stressed or overthinks too much, one may suffer from digestive symptoms of constipation, diarrhea, IBS etc. To maintain your health this month, it is recommended to be more mindful of your gut health, such as:
- Eating slow cooked and warm foods that are easier to stomach,
- Avoid cold and raw foods including cold drinks as well,
- Eating at regular intervals and moderate amounts,
- Chew at least 20 times each bite before swallowing,
