DECEMBER 2023, FENG SHUI FLYING STARS & CHINESE ASTROLOGY FORECAST
This month is Yang Wood on a Water Rat and begins on 7th November @ 5:35pm till 6th January 4:51 am.
It is the last month of the Gregorian calendar , but not the last month of the Chinese Solar calendar which officially ends on the 3rd of January 2024 , welcoming the Year of the Wood Dragon on the 4th of February also known as Li Chun or Beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
This month’s energy begins with a Yin Earth Water Pig Day, with a Yang Wood Water Rat month in a Yin Water Wood Rabbit year, accompanied by the hour of Yin Water Metal Rooster. Similar to the previous month, the prevalence of water elements suggests a heightened risk of water-related disasters, including mudslides, earthquakes, blizzards, and potential power supply issues. The absence of the Fire element in the astrological chart for the month may lead to power outages, manifesting as either Yin (cold) or Yang (hot) effects, with extreme heat causing disruptions.
Last month, we witnessed the impact of such occurrences in the Gippsland area of Victoria, Australia, where a landslide blocked the main exit, isolating the region as rivers peaked, and locals braced for flooding. Southern Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Southern Thailand, and the Southern and Eastern parts of Australia also faced unusual heavy rainfall, while parts of Europe encountered heavy snowfall, all aligning with the astrological predictions for heightened water-related events during that period.
Last month, I had the privilege of attending the IFSC Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the experience was nothing short of sensational, especially since my partner in crime and bestie, Shirley, joined me on this adventure. The event was not only informative but also highly entertaining, with a wealth of knowledge shared by Grand Masters and speakers. The camaraderie among colleagues from around the world, who share similar interests, added a wonderful experience to the conference. The pinnacle of enjoyment was reached at the Gala Dinner, where our Australian female Masters stole the spotlight, winning 1st prize in the Karaoke competition. The joyous atmosphere and shared laughter made it a truly memorable and uplifting occasion.
Astrologically, the Water Rat this month signifies a Punishment Penalty, combining with the Wood Rabbit in the year, indicating potential challenges related to ungratefulness, selfishness, and affairs of the heart. With the festive season approaching, time mismanagement may lead to stressful situations with family and friends. However, a reminder to be flexible, avoid excessive time constraints, and savour the festivities with the understanding that there are other days, like Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, to celebrate and share joy with loved ones. After all, the holiday season should be a time of enjoyment rather than stress, and who can resist the allure of leftover ham or turkey?
In saying this I am wishing you and everyone reading this a joyous and safe Christmas filled with love, warmth, and cherished moments with loved ones. May the holiday season bring happiness and a sense of togetherness to all.
NOTE: Year of the Dragon 2024 workshops dates will be posted soon.

Flying Stars December 2023
EAST– In the East, which symbolizes ill-health and fertility, it is recommended to place 6 coins as a cure. Prioritize your health this month and bolster your immune system with antioxidants. Additionally, be cautious as the ill-health Star 2 for the year combines with the visiting Star 5, potentially causing unrest and outbreaks. Maintain a quiet environment in the East of your home, especially if it’s your front door, and consider placing metal items or a saltwater cure to mitigate challenging outcomes.
SOUTH- For the South, associated with difficulty, obstacles, and destructive energy, using 6 metal bells or a 6-metal piped wind chime is advised to disperse negative energy. Alternatively, a saltwater cure can be employed to weaken the challenging energy present in this direction.
CENTRE- The Star #7 (Metal) is associated with financial loss, robbery, theft, betrayal, violence. We may hear of unfortunate circumstances related to females in the middle east as the Star 7 represents a dagger and the youngest daughter. The yearly Star 4 (wood) also represents the oldest daughter and the wind trigram. We may hear whispers blowing in the wind of female scandals and corruption as well.
NORTH- The Star #3 is related to conflict, fighting, & robbery , avoid any serious conversations in the north sector this month. The Yearly Star 9 resides in the north this year and with the visiting Star 3 (wood) in the North this month will strengthen the Star 9 (fire). In the cycle of the 5 elements wood feeds the fire, therefore the Star 3 energy is weakened.
On a global scale the countries that lie in the East, South & the Centre of a country/state can anticipate unrest and/or natural disasters.
Take extra care if these energies fall into your bedroom, front door, or kitchen.
AOVID disturbing the land, digging, or renovating these sectors for the month as it can lead to money loss, or misfortune.
Health Tips for December 2023
In December, the Chinese astrological influences bring Yang Wood on Water Rat. Yang Wood corresponds to the head and gall bladder, while Water Rat is associated with the bladder and ears. The prevailing wood element strength this month can impact the earth element, particularly the stomach and digestion.
According to Chinese Medicine, the wood element is linked to the Liver and Gallbladder. The Gallbladder channel runs along the sides of the head, circles around the ear, and extends down both sides of the body. An excess of wood element energy may lead to issues like headaches, migraines, ringing in the ears, and even deafness. Additionally, as wood controls the earth element, digestive problems may arise.
To maintain good health this month, it’s crucial to reduce stress levels and monitor alcohol intake to support the health of the Liver and Gallbladder. A healthy diet is essential, emphasizing the consumption of green vegetables, reducing sugar and heavy foods. The “70% rule,” which involves eating only 70% of satiety, can be beneficial, although it might pose a challenge during the festive season. 😊
