April 2026 Energies – Yang Water Dragon 5th April 2:42 am – 5th May 7:50 pm
April brings in the powerful energy of the Yang Water Dragon, creating a noticeable shift from the bold, fast-moving pace of the Yang Fire Horse year we’re currently in.
The Dragon holds and stores Water, making this a particularly strong Water month. When this combines with the strong Fire energy of the year, the elements naturally oppose one another. This can be felt as emotional intensity or a sense of inner tension, as if things are being stirred beneath the surface.
You may notice people feeling a little more reactive, as though built-up emotions are finding a way to be released, a bit like a kettle letting out steam.. It’s a good time to slow down and take a breath before speaking or acting, allowing space for a more thoughtful response rather than a reactive one.
Water energy is often connected to fear, while Fire relates to joy, connection, and love. This month, there may be an increase in fear-based messaging through media, governments, and global events—something I mentioned in my yearly talks—and it may even echo the feeling of 2020, another strong Water period. However, it’s important to remember that we are still held within a Fire year.
This means we always have a choice. We can allow ourselves to be drawn into fear, or we can gently return to the higher qualities of Fire—joy, connection, staying heart-centred, and choosing love as the highest vibration.
Yang Water is powerful and expansive, like oceans, storms, floods, and flowing rivers. It relates to deep emotions, intuition, intelligence, movement, and sometimes restlessness. The Dragon, one of the most powerful signs in Chinese astrology, brings authority, ambition, and natural leadership, mystery and hidden potential, earthquakes and landslides. It is also strongly connected to transformation and rebirth. With hidden elements of Water, Wood, and Earth, much of what is happening this month may not be immediately visible.
On a broader level, the combination of the monthly Flying Star 6 and the yearly Star 1 brings strong Water energy into focus, both within our homes and globally. This can highlight themes around leadership, control, and resources connected to Water, such as oil, transportation, flight disruptions, and communication. With ongoing tensions in the Middle East, there may be attention on oceans and key trade routes, including the Strait of Hormuz. How this unfolds will depend on how leaders choose to respond and work together.
On a personal level, if things feel a little slower or unclear, try to flow with it rather than push against it. This is a time for reflection, gentle planning, and allowing things to unfold naturally. It’s ideal for meaningful conversations, quiet strategy, and laying foundations behind the scenes.
Trust your intuition, as there is often more happening beneath the surface than you can immediately see. At the same time, be kind to yourself and others, as this strong Water energy can heighten sensitivity and emotional awareness.
In simple terms, while the year encourages movement and action, April invites you to slow down, soften, and tune in. It’s not holding you back, it’s guiding you to move forward with greater clarity, ease, and alignment.
Nobleman
There is NO Nobleman this month as the Dragon & Dog are the only animals that don’t possess such auspicious qualities; therefore we need to rely on the day and hour to bring about your Nobleman.

Combinations

Meanwhile, the Monkey , Rat & Dragon form a Water Element Trine—but what does Water mean in your chart? Is it wealth, intelligence, resources, power, or self?
Yang Water & Yin Fire are also at play, forming a connection that symbolizes unity, partnerships, and even potential relationships—but sometimes, they remain out of reach.

Health Tips for April 2026
April is influenced by Yang Water over Earth Dragon. Yang Water is associated with the Bladder meridian and the legs, while Earth relates to the Stomach, digestion, skin, and chest area. Water also plays an important role in supporting the immune system, while Earth governs the absorption of nutrients and maintains overall stability in the body.
This month, the Water element is relatively weaker, which means the body may be more prone to:
- Low energy or fatigue
- Weakened immunity
- Lower back, bladder, or leg discomfort
- reproductive system related issues
At the same time, Earth energy becomes more prominent, so digestive health and skin conditions may also require attention.
Health Tips for April:
- Keep warm, especially the lower back and legs, and a foot bath before bed is suggested.
- Support your immune system with adequate rest, minimise the stress level
- Eat warm, nourishing foods that strengthen digestion, avoid excessive cold or raw foods
- Engage in gentle movement such as walking, stretching, Tai Chi, or yoga
This is a good time to slow down slightly, listen to your body, and maintain balance between activity and rest. Hope you have a smooth and healthy month in April.
