JANUARY 2020 FLYING STARS & ELEMENTAL FORECAST

January 2020 is Yin Fire on Earth Ox month and begins on the 6 th at 5:32 am

Happy New Year 2020 for all that follow the Gregorian calendar …. But in the Solar Calendar or better known as the Hsia Calendar (Farmers Calendar) we are entering our 12th month therefore, we are still in the Year of the Earth Pig 2019.

The Chinese New Year begins of The Metal Rat officially begins on the 4th of February 2020 but is celebrated on the 25th of January 2020, which is the closest New Moon to the 4th of February 2020.

December bought about the energies of Yang Fire on a Water Rat and in the 5 elements water conquers the fire, therefore this month can be very unsettling with challenges.  The Yang Fire is like an inferno whereas the Water Rat (Yang) is like a tsunami, or very cold energy as it is the peak of the water season.

On a global scale we have experiencing the catastrophic fires with the loss of homes, humans and animals in Australia especially in the south east and east of South Australia, NSW and Victoria, and droughts in Queensland and inner NSW (north west) …

New Zealand volcano on White Island erupts for the first time in 18 years, Fiji hit by a cyclone and the Philippines and Japan hit by typhoons, parts of the US experiencing their coldest winters.

These are all related the energies of Yang Fire and Yang Water Rat.

January brings about Yin Fire on Earth Ox –

Yin fire is like a spark or a candle can be easily put out, can be gentle, sensitive and thoughtful.

Earth Ox is hardworking, serious, goal-oriented, and steadfast.

In the 5 Elements fire supports the Earth so we may anticipate a more supportive month …. I will still recommend taking caution as a spark can cause an explosion …. It was a Yin Fire on a Earth Ox day when the Twin Towers were attacked on September 11th 2001.

Take extra care if your Day Master sits on a Goat as the Ox & the Goat are foes or a clash in Chinese Astrology, therefore bringing about challenges and changes in relationships.

If your Day Master sits on a Water Rat, the Rat and the Ox are best of friends, therefore indicating great relationships and harmony with your partner or, if your single if can indicate the beginning of a new relationship.

The Ox also combines with the Snake and the Rooster, forming a Metal Trine combination- what does Metal signify in your chart? Is it money, intelligence, resources, power or self?

Health blog from TCM aspects for the month of January is;

January is Yin Fire on a Earth Ox.

Yin Fire is Heart and spirit and small intestine.

Earth Ox is the stomach and back.

As we are approaching mid-summer, the weather is getting hotter. In Chinese medicine summer belongs to fire and the corresponding organ is heart which is in charge of perspiration.  During summertime, people tend to sweat more and damage the yin fluid in the heart, which cause the heart fire to go out of control. (In general, the heart yin/fluid would bring balance to heart fire) That’s why people experience some heart fire syndrome e.g.: short temperedness, frustration, insomnia etc… Furthermore, the small intestine in TCM is the sister organ of the heart and is in charge of digestion and urination. When heart heat is excessive, the heat can transfer to the small intestine and cause UTI syndromes.

The other organ of the month we need to pay attention is the stomach. During summertime, people tend to intake more cold raw food/drinks. Unfortunately, the stomach always prefer warm (body temperature) food to maintain a healthy state. Excessive cold food/drink could cause an upset tummy and/or diarrhoea.

In order to keep well for mid-summer, people need to avoid the consumption of too much cold food and drink, as well as making sure to drink enough water to hydrate the body. Here’s a simple tip to hydrate the body quicker: put a pinch of sea salt in a cup of warm water so that fluids can penetrate cells more efficiently! In order to cool the heart heat and calm the spirit, chrysanthemum flower tea and watermelon are also great alternatives🌼🍉

What do the Fire & Earth Element mean for you this month?

If you are YIN or YANG-

WOOD- you have the Midas touch this month showing off your skills and talents and the earth will bring you that extra income and money.   If Fire & earth are an unfavourable element, take extra care of what you say or do as you will be paying the costs.

FIRE– the fire brings about a very socially active lifestyle surrounded with friends and family, and the earth can bring about exciting new adventures.    If Fire & Earth are unfavourable, family, friends, or colleagues can be a burden, running around doing their chores.

EARTH– the fire brings about new ideas, study, resources, and learning something new, and anticipate an unexpected social lifestyle with family and friends.   If Fire & Earth are unfavourable- be mindful to not overdo it as your health can take a toll and family and friends can be a burden.

METAL– the fire brings about pressure, power and a promotion and the earth can bring about new ideas, study, learning.  If Fire & Earth are unfavourable, take care of your health as you may be putting too much pressure on yourself.

WATER– the fire is your money element, so enjoy the extra money this month, and the earth can bring in an unexpected promotion.   If Fire & Earth are unfavourable elements, take extra care as an unexpected legal matter can arise which can be financially taxing.
