Happy Year of The Wood Dragon 2024 & February Monthly Energies
4th February 2024 is Li Chun also known as the Beginning of Spring and is the beginning of the Chinese Zodiac animal year.
The Chinese Lunar New Year is celebrated on the 10th of February 2024. The Chinese New Year is celebrated between 21st January – 21st February every year.
Welcome to the Year of the Wood Dragon, the beginning of 2024 and to the month of Yang Fire on a Wood Tiger which also begins today 4th February at 4:29 pm until 5th March 0:24am.
We also welcome the energy of Period 9 (2024-2044) – The Fire Element- representing the Middle-Aged woman ruling for the next 20 years.
Today we entered into a huge energy shift that will change humanity in all aspects of life, in the way of how we travel, heal, see as fire is the eyes, space, entertainment, AI, technology, beauty, spirituality, cryptocurrency, our banking systems, the metaverse, air travel, and more.
Today we are also entering into the Yang Fire on Wood Tiger energy, and it begins with a strong fire month and sparks off the energy of what’s to come not only in the year and the month, but also extends into the next 20 years.
Anticipate an intense month and year ahead, and to put it mildly, we are going to be in for quite a ride of shifts and changes.
The Centre of every home or business this month is associated with difficulty, obstacles, and destructive energy, therefore, avoid having any serious conversations in the centre of your home or business as it won’t be resolved and only turn into an argument as the annual Star 3 representing argument and robbery takes prime position for the year.
This year the Trigram 3 rules the central energy and is associated with thunder and earthquakes representing The Arousal. It is related to the Wood Element and the Beginning of Spring and the eldest son (40 years plus). This year we will see more natural disasters to do with earthquakes and thunderstorms which can shake up the world and change its foundations.
The Arousal – Thunder’s rumble and impending storm’s onset suggest a transformative power linked to action and change.
It shakes, awakens, incites, and disturbs.
This awakening and the initiation of new beginnings has the potential to trigger change.
As the year begins with spring, this adds another layer linking into themes of renewal and rebirth, leaving behind the old ways, stagnation, or complacency.
Its role is a symbol of transformative power urging individuals to embrace change, take the initiative and remain alert to the dynamic forces in our lives.

Nobleman is described as ‘helpful people’. This month the Tiger brings a Nobleman to people born
- Day of Yin Metal.
- Years ending in a 1.
Travel Star or Travelling Horse-
Travel Star indicates a lot of activity, travelling, car travel, etc.
If you are born in the Year or Day of a Monkey, Rat, & Dragon the Tiger is your Travel Star.
Monkey Years include 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016.
Rat Years include 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020 .
Dragon Years include1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, .
Clash Animal
The Tiger & Monkey are a Clash in Chinese Astrology. If you have a Monkey in your chart then you are in Clash with the month, it can fall in the:
– Day you are born,
-Month (August 7/8 to 7/8 September)
– Hour (between 3pm- 5pm) and,
– Years (1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016.).
It is recommended that you take extra care this month and carry the charm of a Pig as it is friends with the Tiger in Chinese Astrology.
If you have YANG WATER, in your Chinese Astrology Chart, you are in Clash with the YANG FIRE of the Month. It is more evident if you are born on the Day of Yang Water.

Penalty Animal
A Fire Penalty can instigate accidents, extreme anxiety, heart and eye health, blood circulation, fever, travel accidents and delay, and diabetes.
If you have a Monkey & Snake in your Chinese Astrology Chart, then this month the Tiger brings about and Fire Penalty.
If Fire is an unfavourable element, then avoid extreme sports, take extra on the roads, and keep an eye on your heart health this month.
Carry the Charm of the Pig to keep the Tiger peaceful.

The Tiger & Pig are best of friends in Chinese Astrology, therefore, anticipate a smoother month, especially if it’s on the Day you are born.

Flying Stars February 2024
SOUTHWEST-representing ill- health & fertility- 6 coins are recommended as a cure for this direction. Take care of your health this month and build up your immune system with antioxidants.
CENTRE –represents difficulty, obstacles & destructive energy- 6 metal bells or a 6-metal piped wind chime is recommended to disperse negative energy.
WEST– The Star #7 (Metal) is associated with financial loss, robbery, theft, betrayal, violence and as it teams up with the annual Star 5..
EAST- The Star #3 is related to conflict, fighting, & robbery, avoid any serious conversations in the East sector this month. The Yearly Star 1 (Water) resides in the East this year and with the monthly visiting Star 3 (wood) it will strengthen it as water feeds the wood.
NORTH- the Star 1 brings prosperity in the south as it teams up with the Star 8. As they are both White Stars there is potential for success facing the North this month.

Health Tips for February 2024
February is Yang Fire on Wood Tiger. Yang Fire is small intestine & shoulder and Wood tiger is gall bladder & veins. It is still closely related to the digestive system. Also, the small intestine and gallbladder channel runs through the shoulder, if the channels are blocked the shoulder would suffer from pain or stiffness.
To avoid these channel blockages, we need to keep our shoulders away from the direct wind cold especially from cooling systems during summertime. If you already have shoulder issues (e.g. frozen shoulder), please keep your shoulders covered at all times or apply a heat pack when needed because summer is the best season to treat with all cold related issues.
Also, regular exercise on your neck & shoulders is essential, Tai chi, Yoga, Pilate etc. are recommended.
