NOVEMBER 2024, FENG SHUI FLYING STARS & CHINESE ASTROLOGY FORECAST
November has arrived, bringing with it the Yin Wood on Water Pig month, starting on November 7th at 6:22 am and lasting until December 6th.
As we wrap up October, how was it for you? For those born in the year, month, day, or hour of the Dragon or Dog, it may have been a challenging period with transformative lessons (details on Dragon & Dog years, months, and hours are below).
This year, I find myself in clash with the Dragon. I typically keep my personal journey private, but this clash year has prompting me to share my path with you. Born in both the Dog year and month, I expected changes—and I leaned into them, especially in April and October, my clash months. When in a clash year, the best approach is to initiate changes yourself; this way, you flow with the energy rather than resist it.
Each pillar in our Chinese Astrology Chart holds unique significance. The year represents ancestors, friendships and youth, the month covers parents and career, the day reflects oneself and partnerships, and the hour indicates children and future potential. This year, I made changes to my teaching approach and course schedule gaining new students which I am so grateful to. I presented in Melbourne for the AFSC conference and travelled to Noosa to present at the IFSA Moving to Mastery Seminar which I am very grateful for such opportunities.
October brought personal shifts as well, especially regarding my parents. My father, who is the most wonderful husband to my mother, after 14 years of caring for my mother, had to step back due to health concerns, leading us to arrange alternative care for my mother which she now receives in a nursing home. In another heartening moment, I visited my daughter who is living on the other side of Australia—a trip that was much needed. My social circle grew, too, with wonderful new connections and reconnections with old friends, which was a beautiful reminder of life’s cycles.
Looking forward, November’s Pig month introduces a Travel Star energy, stirring movement and transition, especially as it activates next year’s Yin Wood Snake energy. We’re likely to feel the shifts of 2025 early, as the November triggers its upcoming changes ( Pig & Snake clash). On a global scale, expect transformations, from political shifts in the USA to natural events, marking a time of movement, especially in travel, migration, and rising humanitarian challenges.
In the Flying Stars chart, the monthly Star #5 (Earth) occupies the central position, clashing with the yearly Star #3 (Wood). This combination suggests turbulence in the form of conflicts, potential financial setbacks, stock market losses and unrest, particularly in central areas. With Yin Wood on Water Pig duplicated on the day the month begins, we may also experience issues related to water, leading to potential floods and strains on agriculture. This could impact the cost of food, especially produce, making it a good time to consider seasonal eating and perhaps even starting your own vegetable garden.
Remember, change is essential for growth, often taking us beyond our comfort zones but also opening doors to new opportunities. May the transformations in your life this month be met with resilience and wisdom. Let’s navigate November with love and kindness , staying grounded as we embrace what lies ahead.

If you have Yin Metal in your Chinese Astrology Chart, you are in Clash with the Yin Wood of this month. This is especially significant if you were born on a Yin Metal day. Depending on whether Yin Wood is favourable or not, this Clash can be positive, activating aspects associated with the element. Self-Penalty –
The Pig month brings about a Self-Penalty for those that have another Pig in their Chinese Astrology Chart.
A Self Penalty is something you impose on yourself- like overindulging, worry, self-sabotage, addictions, negative talk, and compulsive behaviour.
Combinations with the Pig
The Pig & Tiger are best of friends in Chinese Astrology, therefore, anticipate a smoother month, especially if it’s on the Day you are born.
The Pig combines with the Rabbit and the Goat forming a Wood Element Trine combination- what does Wood represent in your chart? Is it money, intelligence, resources, power, or self?

Centre: The monthly Star #5 (Earth) instigating the most malevolent energy of all the stars is in conflict with yearly Star #3, associated with arguments, slander, and lawsuits. This could indicate stock market losses, bankruptcy and gambling. It can also bring about digestion problems broken limbs, and liver issues. We will still see heighten unrest in the middle east as well.
Northeast; The monthly Star #8 (Earth) meets the yearly Star #6 (Metal) not good for procreation as both stars are yang. The husband can strengthen his presence or enhance his leadership qualities.

Northwest: Star #6 flies into its original palace representing the father, military, law, authority, as the yearly Star 4 (w00d) has taken up residency for the year this can cause relationship issues, scandals, and relationship breakups.
Southeast: The monthly Star #4 (wood) stimulates romance, affairs, and scandal. If you are a married female sleeping in this room and living with your mother in law, it will bring about bickering and hard time with your mother in law.
West: The monthly Star #7 (Metal) is associated with female energy, robbery, theft, betrayal, and scandal, and it combines with the yearly Star #5, which brings arguments, backstabbing, deception, and mental illness.
Southwest: The monthly Star #2 (Earth) is strengthened by the yearly Star #9 (Fire), which can lead to ill-health. Place 6 metal coins or a slat water cure for the month and keep this sector quiet and undisturbed.
North: The monthly Star #1 (Water) brings fame, prosperity and promotions.
On a global scale, countries or regions in the Southwest, West, and Centre may experience unrest or natural disasters. Health Tips for November 2024
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the interplay between Yin Wood and the Water Pig offers valuable insights into maintaining health, particularly for the neck, liver, brain, and head. Yin Wood governs the liver and neck, representing flexibility, growth, and nourishment. When Yin Wood energy is in balance, it supports smooth blood flow, a calm mind, and optimal liver function. However, an imbalance may manifest as neck stiffness, irritability, or liver-related issues.
The Water Pig, associated with the brain and head, as water energy is connected to wisdom, reflection, and a peaceful mind. Ensuring a balance of Water energy can support mental clarity and stress reduction, as well as help prevent headaches or mental fatigue.
To keep these energies in harmony, practices like Tai Chi, meditation, and gentle stretching for neck mobility can be beneficial. In terms of diet, consuming foods that nourish both Wood and Water elements — Support your Liver and Qi flow with fresh greens like spinach and dandelion. Bitter and sour foods like lemons aid digestion. and healthy fats like walnuts for brain health — can further promote balance. Avoid cold, greasy, and heavy foods.
