Welcome to the Yin Metal on Water Pig month.
The day the month begins was Yang Wood on a Water Rat, the Month is Yin Metal on a Water Pig, in the year of Yang Water Wood Tiger and the Hour is Yin Water on a Metal Rooster. The day the month begins gives us an indication of what can happen in the month.
Yin Metal represents fine jewellery, precious stones, and metals. Yin Metal people are refined, graceful, elegant, and delicate, you have excellent taste and love the nicer things in life. Sentimental and emotional, they are loyal to your friends, like to surround themselves with beauty, and thrive on mental stimulation. (I live with one 😊)
The Water Pig is intelligent, nice, tasteful, and good-mannered.
The Pig and the with the Tiger are best friends in Chinese Astrology, which can instigate a harmonious month or maybe not.
When we look at the chart from the day the month begins, we see there is a lot of water & wood in the chart with no fire & earth elements to be seen.
This can indicate floods and wet weather patterns, and even snow in Spring in the Southern Hemisphere, but also earthquakes, landslides, and volcanic eruptions on a global scale.
As the Pig is a Travel Star we will see a lot of people travelling this month or feeling restless and changing the way they live or work. We may also see changes happening in governments, policies, and laws.
Health wise – Yin Metal represents the lungs, skin, and buttocks, whereas the Water Pig represents the head and the brain.
If you refer to last month’s health blog from Dr Kaiyan Li at Healing Pond Chinese Medicine we still need to pay attention to our lung health.
As the water element is very strong this month we also need to take care of our heart health and blood circulation. In the 5 elements the Fire (Heart) and the Water (Kidneys, immune system) are opposite each other, therefore water attacks the fire. As there is no Fire in the chart this can cause heart issues, like heart attack, anxiety, and heart palpitations.

Nobleman is described as ‘helpful people’. This month brings a Nobleman to people born
- Day of Yang Fire, Yin Fire.
- Years ending in 6 & 7.
Travel Star or Travelling Horse-
Travel Star indicates a lot of activity, travelling, car travel, etc.
If you are born in the Year or Day of a Snake, Rooster & Ox, the Pig is your Travel Star.
Snake Years include 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013.
Rooster Years include 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017.
Ox Years include 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021.

If you have a Snake in your Chinese Astrology chart, it can fall in the:
– Day you are born,
-Month (May 4/ 5 to 5/6 June)
– Hour (between 9am- 11am) and,
– Years (1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001,2013).
It is recommended that you take extra care this month and carry the charm of a Tiger as it is friends with the Pig in Chinese Astrology.
Self-Penalty –
The Pig month brings about a Self-Penalty for those that have another Pig in their Chinese Astrology Chart.
A Self Penalty is something you impose on yourself- like overindulging, worry, self-sabotage, addictions, negative talk, and compulsive behaviour.
Combinations with the Pig –
The Pig & Tiger are best of friends in Chinese Astrology, therefore, anticipate a smoother month, especially if it’s on the Day you are born.
The Pig & Horse also have an intermit relationship on a deeper level. Its is like a soul connection.

FLYING STARS NOVEMBER 2022
The flying Star 2 flies to the central palace this month and teams up with the yearly malevolent Star 5 contributing to illness, unfortunate circumstances, destruction, earthquakes, landslides, and sinkholes. Avoid any arguments in the centre of your home.
Centre –representing ill- health & fertility- 6 coins are recommended as a cure for this direction. Take care of your health this month and build up your immune system with antioxidants, especially if your front door is in the southeast.
The flying Star 2 flies to the central palace this month and teams up with the yearly malevolent Star 5, representing conflict, arguments, robbery, and destruction. Avoid any arguments in the centre of your home.

Northeast –represents difficulty, obstacles & destructive energy- 6 metal bells or a 6-metal piped wind chime is recommended to disperse negative energy.
East- The Star 9 brings prosperity to the East this month, so take advantage of this energy.
On a global scale the countries that lie in the Centre & Northeast of a country/state can anticipate unrest and/or natural disasters.
Take extra care if these energies fall into your bedroom, front door, or kitchen.
AOVID disturbing the land, digging, or renovating these sectors for the month as it can lead to money loss, or misfortune.
