MAY 2022, FENG SHUI FLYING STARS & CHINESE ASTROLOGY FORECAST
May is Yin Wood on a Fire Snake, and it begins on the 5th @8:27 pm and ends on June 6th @ 12:27 am.
Welcome to the month of May 2022. How fast has that slithered in?
The month of May brings in the energy of the Fire Snake which is the beginning of the Fire Season in the Chinese Almanac (Calendar), and summer season in the Northern Hemisphere.
In the Southern Hemisphere we enter into the Autumn Season. The Snake is also a part of the Metal Combination, as it combines with the Rooster, and the Ox to form more Metal element. Autumn is a time of elimination and letting go, just like the trees drop their leaves. It is a time to let go and to move with the natural course and rhythm of life, which as humans we so adeptly resist!
The Fire Elements Yang side brings warmth, joy, and enthusiasm; however, the Yin side can bring aggression, impatience, and impulsive behaviour.
Emotionally, this month people will be feeling unsettled as the Snake signifies a Travelling Star or Traveling Horse in Chinese Astrology. This in turn can bring about movement and changes, may it be moving house, jobs, school, offices, or travelling to another state, and country.
We will also experience change of governments, structures, the stock market, and policies as some countries have elections this month, like the Philippines, Lebanon, Colombia, and Australia.
The Fire element can be quite fickle which can bring about explosions, fire disasters, volcanic eruptions, nuclear disasters, bush fires, and bombings.
The Snake this month combines with the Monkey and the Tiger (year) and forms a Fire Penalty. A Penalty in Chinese Astrology can instigate accidents, legal issues, extreme worry, blood circulation, eye & heart health, diabetes, anxiety, fevers, and virus. Take extra care if you have a Monkey or Tiger in your Chinese Astrology. As all these animals are Travel Stars, take caution while travelling, expect delays, setbacks, and traffic gams. Avoid engaging in any extreme sports.
On a health aspect it represents the heart, anxiety, and blood circulation. To help calm the heart and anxiety it is recommended to practice daily in meditation, yoga and even walking in nature. For more information on health, Dr Kaiyan Li from Healing Pond Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Centre has recommended some helpful health tips (read below).
On a global scale the month will bring with it a lot of changes, good and bad. This year and especially this month the changes will be amplified and heightened; they will come upon us like a speed train as both the Tiger in the year and the Snake in the month are Travel Stars.
“If we realise all things change, there is nothing we will try and hold onto.” – Lao Tzu

A Fire Penalty can instigate accidents, legal issues, extreme worry, blood circulation, eye & heart health, diabetes, anxiety, fevers, virus and even cancer.
If you have a Snake & Monkey in your Chinese Astrology Chart, then this month brings about and Fire Penalty.
If fire is an unfavourable element, then avoid extreme sports, and take extra on the roads.
Carry the Charm of the Pig to keep the tiger at bay.
Combinations with the Snake-
The Snake & Monkey are best of friends in Chinese Astrology, therefore, anticipate a smoother month, especially if it’s on the Day you are born.
The Snake combines with the Rooster and the Ox forming a Metal Element Trine combination- what does Metal represent in your chart? Is it money, intelligence, resources, power, or self?

Health blog from a TCM aspect for the Month of May 2022
May is Yin Wood on a Fire Snake, Yin wood is the Liver, Neck, Spine, Back. Fire Snake is the face and teeth, but also blood. Since the Snake and the Tiger create half a fire penalty, therefore the heart and blood will be affected.
In Chinese Medicine, the Liver belongs to the wood element and it’s in charge of stress and anger, as well as tendons. The stress normally stores in the tendons, which explains why people would suffer from joint tightness (commonly presented as tightness in the neck, shoulder & back) when they are under stress. Wood would generate fire, if the Liver is under stress, it could cause the fire element issues which are the heart & blood problems, presenting as anxiety, heart palpitations, insomnia, or circulation issues.
In order to keep healthy this month, we need to manage our stress level and reduce heart fire. Regular exercises could reduce stress, and also increase our happy hormone levels. Neck, shoulder & back Guasha/scraping could clean up the toxins in the channel and relieve the tightness and pain. Also, we have some herbal medicine to help reducing Liver stress and heart fire.

Northeast –representing ill- health & fertility- 6 coins are recommended as a cure for this direction,
and the
